Florida’s only provider

Zipcam 360 inspection in Lakeland, FL

A 360 degree survey carried by the flow itself, so nothing has to be bypassed or taken out of service. It captures the full interior surface in one pass and unwraps it into a single flat image. InSight is the only provider of this system in Florida.

Why it gets ordered

Seeing the whole pipe wall without shutting the line down

A tracked crawler needs a cable, a set up and often a line taken out of service. The Zipcam 360 is carried by the flow, which removes most of that from the job.

It captures the entire interior surface rather than whatever the lens happens to be pointed at, then unwraps it into one flat image where seams, joints and surface condition all read at once.

Whose product this is

Can-Ex Tech makes the Zipcam 360, we run it

The Zipcam 360 is a Can-Ex Tech product, brought to market by GapVax. InSight is a provider using it, not its manufacturer, and we would not claim otherwise.

What is ours is the access to it. We are the only provider of this system in Florida, which is why the preventive surveys it suits get done here and not elsewhere in the state.

The InSight Standard

How a Zipcam 360 pipeline survey runs

Clean, drop, drift, unwrap. No bypass, no crawler cable, no shutdown.

Open the line first

Same rule as every inspection. A camera cannot read through debris, whatever carries it.

In at the structure

The unit goes in at a manhole and is carried downstream by the flow already in the pipe.

One flat image of the run

The 360 capture unwraps into a single continuous strip, which is what a level 2 report is built from.

Before you ask for a price

What we need to quote a Zipcam 360 survey accurately

Most requests arrive with a location and nothing else. That is fine, we will come back and ask. But if you have these, you get a real number instead of a range.

Send what you have
  • Job site location and access
  • Pipe size and material if known
  • Linear footage of the run
  • Whether there is flow in the line
  • Sanitary or storm
  • Whether the line needs cleaning first
  • Structure spacing along the run
  • Approximate age of the line

Do not have all of it? Send what you do have. Missing items are usually one phone call, not a site visit.

The arithmetic

What a sewer line shutdown costs you

Taking a line out of service to inspect it is often more disruptive than the inspection is worth, which is why plenty of pipe never gets looked at until it fails.

A survey carried by the existing flow removes the bypass, the pumps and the shutdown window, which changes what is practical to inspect at all.

On a fifteen year old main you would like to check rather than dig, this is the fastest way to know what you own.

When a 360 survey fits

Preventive checks Older mains you want to assess without taking them offline
Restricted access Runs where a crawler set up is impractical
Large systems Where the cost of shutdown across many segments is the real barrier
Before budgeting Establishing real condition ahead of a rehabilitation program
With cleaning Run after the line is opened

Questions we get

Zipcam 360 inspection, answered

What makes the Zipcam 360 different from a camera truck?

It is carried by the flow already in the pipe rather than driven on a cable, and it captures the entire interior surface at once instead of whatever the lens is pointed at.

Does the line have to be taken out of service?

No. That is the main reason it exists. There is no bypass and no shutdown window.

Are you really the only provider in Florida?

Yes, InSight is the only provider of this system in the state. The Zipcam 360 itself is a Can-Ex Tech product brought to market by GapVax. We run it, we did not build it.

Does the line still need cleaning first?

Yes. A camera cannot read through debris regardless of how it travels down the pipe.

What do I get at the end?

A 360 capture that unwraps into one flat image of the interior, with coded observations tied to footage.
