Trenchless · no excavation
QuickLock trenchless point repair in Lakeland, FL
A stainless steel sleeve set across a single defect from inside the pipe. The run stays in the ground, the surface stays intact, and the traffic over it stays open.
Why it gets ordered
One bad pipe joint should not cost you the whole run
Most pipe that gets dug up is sound. The failure is at a joint, an offset or a crack, and everything either side of it is fine. Excavation replaces all of it because that is the only way to reach the part that matters.
A point repair puts a sleeve across the defect from inside. The pipe stays where it is, and so does the parking lot, the drive aisle or the road on top of it.
Straight answer
A point repair is not always the right answer
It fixes a defect. It does not fix a run that has failed along its length, and it does not rescue a pipe that has lost its shape. Where replacement is the honest answer we will say so.
It also depends on a camera survey first. We cannot set a sleeve across a defect nobody has located to the foot.
The InSight Standard
How a trenchless point repair runs
Inspect, locate, clear, set. The inspection is not optional, it is what makes the repair possible.
01 · LOCATE
Find it to the foot
A CCTV survey codes the defect against a footage marker. That number is what the repair is aimed at.
02 · CLEAR
Clean either side
The sleeve seats against the pipe wall, so the wall has to be clean where it lands.
03 · SET
Sleeve across the defect
The sleeve is carried to the location and expanded against the pipe wall, bridging the defect from inside.
Real captures
What a point repair is usually sent to fix
Real captures from inspection work. Each of these is a candidate, or a reason to do something else.
Before you ask for a price
What we need to quote a trenchless point repair accurately
Most requests arrive with a location and nothing else. That is fine, we will come back and ask. But if you have these, you get a real number instead of a range.
- Job site location and access
- Whether a CCTV survey already exists
- Pipe size and material
- Where the defect is, in feet from the structure
- What kind of defect it is
- Condition of the pipe either side of it
- Whether the line can be taken out of service briefly
- What is on the surface above it
Do not have all of it? Send what you do have. Missing items are usually one phone call, not a site visit.
The arithmetic
What excavating a sewer line actually costs you
The repair is rarely the expensive part. The trench is. Opening a drive aisle, a parking area or a road means traffic control, spoil, backfill, compaction and restoration, and the surface never quite matches afterward.
On a commercial site it also means an area out of service for as long as the hole is open, which is a cost that lands on operations rather than maintenance.
A point repair removes the trench from the equation, which usually removes most of the number with it.

Operational continuityQuestions we get
Trenchless point repair, answered
Do you have to dig at all?
No. The sleeve is carried in through an existing access point and set from inside the pipe. That is the point of it.
Do I need a camera inspection first?
Yes. The repair is aimed at a defect located to the foot. Without that survey there is nothing to aim at.
When is a point repair not appropriate?
When the run has failed along its length rather than at one place, or when the pipe has lost its shape. We will tell you when replacement is the honest answer.
How long does the line have to be out of service?
Briefly, and far less than an excavation. The exact window depends on the site and the defect.
Is this the same as lining the whole pipe?
No. Full length lining rehabilitates an entire run. A point repair addresses one defect and leaves the rest alone.
